The Wii U

Hello all,

Well E3 is in full swing and now we have two things to (hopefully) look forward to. The new Sony Vita as well as the Wii U. Both are interesting platforms set to (Supposedly) revolutonise the way we play videogames. Now from what I have seen of the coverage at the event their promises seem quite true. The wii U is alot more powerfull then its predecessor and allows for people to play videogames whilst others can watch TV shows as well as integrate to older wii games with its backwards compatibility. Not to mention now that it has had a severe harware upgrade, it can now join it's two rivals xbox and sony in the distribution of mainstream games.

Sony with thei Vita however are looking toward both the portable as well as the home market. They have created a device which works like its previous PSP system (albeit with PS3 standard graphics) and allows for the transfer of games between the home console as well as the portable device.

Now whilst these are exciting there comes a bit of a downer. Sony and Nintendo have gone and copied each others homework, displayed it in front of alot of people and no on seems to notice that this has occured.  dont know but all I can say is that the current wii controller looks like a non portable Sony Vita. Except worse as not only do you have to fork out for the new system as well as at least three new controllers (I know that depends on the games). With the vita however, its only a single purchase.
